JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The 315th Airlift Wing has identified multiple Non-EAD Commissioning opportunities for enlisted members that are interested and eligible to commission as an officer.
The 315 AW Vice Commander and Commissioning Board President, Col. Steven Priest, created a new guide for the Non-Extended Active Duty Airmen Commissioning Program (Deserving Airman) for the upcoming August 2022 board and future commissioning opportunities. There will be August and February boards (pending open positions).
Below is the information for the upcoming 2022 Formal Commissioning Board Panel:
All packages are due to the 315th Force Support Squadron/Career Development by close of business July 22, 2022. All packages must be complete and the member must have a passing Air Force Qualification Test by the package due date. Please make sure to read the guide fully and submit all packages in the order that is indicated in the guide.
A formal commissioning board will be held during the August 2022 Unit Training Assembly (times and day to be announced). Candidates must report in service dress blues to meet the panel.
Career Development will create a schedule with a date and times for each candidate and will send the candidates their report time and day along with sample questions to review once all packages are received.
Since the July UTA will be virtual, FSS will accept the packages digitally via email and print out five copies of each package on behalf of the member. For the February board, the applicants must provide five physical copies of their packages. Any incomplete or incorrect packages will be sent back to the member for corrections.
The Force Development and Education Office will be available for AFOQT testing during the week of July 5-8 (7:30 a.m. start time) for anyone needing to re/take the test prior to the 22 July application deadline.
*Note* For any member that chooses to take the electronic test, they will only be able to retest (in the future, if necessary) using the alternate version of the eAFOQT, not the paper version of the test.
To inquire about the testing sessions, please send an email to 315aw.trn@us.af.mil. No walk-ins will be accepted.
