Six 315 AW Airmen selected for early promotions

Col. Scott Sauter, 315th Airlift Wing commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Gigi Manning, 315 AW command chief, announced the latest round of early promotions under the Promotion Enhancement Program for six wing enlisted Airmen today.

The following Reservists have been selected for PEP promotion from technical sergeant to master sergeant effective Oct. 1, 2014:
  • Michael Cowart, 300th Airlift Squadron
  • Joshua Fugle, 701st AS
  • Tanya Kent, 315th Maintenance Group
  • Africo Smalls, 315th Maintenance Squadron
The following Reservists have been selected for PEP promotion from staff sergeant to technical sergeant effective Oct. 1, 2014:
  • Jared Calhoun, 315th Airlift Control Flight
  • Erik Thomsen, 701st AS
The 315th AW Promotion Enhancement Program is a commander's program designed to promote outstanding and well-deserving Air Force Reserve members to one grade above the authorized grade for their position. Only those Airmen who clearly demonstrate outstanding potential are considered for promotion under PEP. Promotions are based on a demonstrated ability to serve in the next higher grade.
