Winter Weather UPDATE

The 315th Airlift Wing commander has authorized a delayed report time Wednesday Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. for non essential personnel. Base leadership will determine if further closing is necessary early tomorrow morning. If the decision is made to cancel non-essential operations for the remainder of the day, wing personnel will be notified via phone through their chain of command. Lastly Col. Fontanella asked that everyone use common sense: if the roads in your neighborhood seem to dangerous to drive on, call your supervisor to let them know. - Be safe

JBC leadership delays report time due to winter weather again

JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. --

Joint Base Charleston will delay reporting until 10 a.m. Wednesday Feb. 12, 2014, due to adverse winter weather forecasts.

Personnel travelling to work from off the installations should use discretion if conditions are worse than forecasted or if traffic builds up. Additionally, supervisors are encouraged to grant liberal leave for members with childcare issues d...ue to local school closures.

Patients with appointments at the 628th Medical Group scheduled before 10 a.m. Wed. should call 843-963-6880 to reschedule. For information on the Naval Health Clinic Charleston, call 843-794-6000, or check the Joint Base Charleston Facebook page.

Weather permitting, the Child Development Center will open at 9:30 a.m. for members whose children are registered with the CDC.

Civilian personnel are authorized administrative leave in conjunction with the delayed reporting.

The Air Base dining facility and Weapons Station galley will remain open as normal.

Classes at the Navy Nuclear Power Training Command will also run as normal.
