315 AW creates new, exciting mission video Published Dec. 31, 2013 By Michael Dukes 315th Airlift Wing Public Affairs JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, SC -- Officials at the 315th Airlift Wing recently updated the wing's new mission video "Why We Fly," to replace a previous video that was about 4 years old. While the 315th's mission remains the same and we are still flying the same jets, the current wing commander Col. James Fontanella wanted something to better appeal to visitors to the wing as well as to replace the "somewhat boring" power point presentation that originally accompanied the old mission video. The just under five-minute long video features exclusive footage shot by the 315th Airlift Wing Public Affairs Office, as well as dynamic and exciting sequences captured by Air Force Combat Camera videographers. Besides action shots depicting what the wing's Citizen Airmen the do when they are in uniform serving throughout the world, select members from each of the 315th's three groups say in their words, "why we fly." "We'd like to thank everyone who participated in this exciting update to our mission video. We couldn't have done it without you," said Maj. Wayne Capps, 315th Airlift Wing Public Affairs Officer. The video can be seen on the 315th Airlift Wing's YouTube channel at: www.youtube.com/315AirliftWing .
