Bryan Lewis accepted command of the 4th Combat Camera Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, from Col. Chad Gibson in front of members of the 315th Airlift Wing, friends and family here Nov. 2, 2019. Col. Stephen Lanier, 315th Operations Group commander, officiated the change of command ceremony and passed the guide on from outgoing commander, Gibson to Lewis. Lewis previously served as an adjutant for the 317th Airlift Squadron and as a public affairs officer with the 315th Airlift Wing. Gibson is going on to be a public affairs officer to the Pentagon press desk. The 4 CTCS is the only reserve combat camera unit in the Air Force. It is responsible for operating, training and equipping forces to acquire and distribute imagery to support Department of Defense, Joint Chiefs of Staff, combatant commanders and Air Force requirements. Airmen from the 4 CTCS have set foot on every continent, logged thousands of hours on multiple air frames, displayed courage under fire, recorded history in the blink of an eye with every snap of the shutter and bore witness to some of the most defining moments of the 21st century.
