Brendan Schneider, Staff Sgt. Phillip Zagornik, Senior Airman Brandon Buchanan, and Senior AIrman Darien Alexander, all from the 315th Aircarft Maintenance Squadron, perform a radome swap on a C-17 Globemaster III during their August Unit Training Assembly at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina. Citizen Airmen at Joint Base Charleston often train on all the same tasks as their active duty counterparts and perfmorn aircraft maintenace alongside the active duty Airmen. This increases their job proficiency ensuring they are fully qualified when they are needed. Radomes are the nose of aircraft that house radar and other electronic equipment.
